With
no formal art training, I feel it was my early days
at primary school which taught me the basics and helped
me on my way. Now 26, I believe 22 years of experience
have taught me more than I would ever have learned at
college.
Animals
have always been my main subject matter. However, I have
completed some unusual commissions including a five foot
long pen-drawn dragon which took me three months to complete.
Also I was approached by a musician to illustrate his
album cover. After a dose of inspiration, I designed a
giant lizard bursting out of a keyboard.
I
also work in three dimensions, producing life size
animals out of foam and plaster. At my most recent
exhibition I produced a six foot tiger shark chasing
a four foot dolphin. My next foam friend will be a
life size rhino charging out of a crate.
My
latest painting, which is still to be completed, is
a tiger setting a small bird. Imagine your domesticated
tabby, but only more devastating!
ABOUT THE ARTIST
About
the artist
My
true passion for wildlife started with a book entitled
'Fight for the Tiger'. The animals are extremely endangered
so now I dedicate my time to their protection.
I
am a member of the EIA (Environmental Investigation Agency)
which undertake dangerous missions in order to bring the
tiger's plight to the attention of the world.
The
animals I paint are the only source of inspiration I need.
I hope one day our appreciation will be equal to humans.
It shall be a very lonely planet if we inhabit it alone.
