Police have charged a man with grievous bodily harm with intent after a late night assault in Glossop.
A 31 year old man has been charged over the incident which took place at around 3:40 am on Sunday July 15th. He appeared in front of Chesterfield Magistrates Court earlier today.
A second man aged 29 has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
A 22 year old woman and a man aged 26 have also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and were also released on bail whilst enquiries continue.
The victim remains in a critical condition in Tameside Hospital.
