A garden sponsored by three local businesses has been given a “Silver Gilt” medal at this years RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park.
“Peak Reflections” was designed and sponsored by Charlie Williams of Nook Design and she was joined by two other sponsors – Gareth Wilson and Glossop Garden Centre.
The piece was awarded the second highest of four possible levels of recognition from the judges at the 2012 show. The aim of the piece was to “offer an insight into the character of the Peak District and how visitors to the area have left their mark on the landscape.”
It included natural stone and channelled water to reflect the historic railways and the varying colours of plants were designed to mirror the colours seen in Derbyshire’s Blue John Cavern.
You can read a feature piece in the latest edition of Glossop Life magazine which focuses on Gareth Wilson and the garden “Peak Reflections.”
