Glossop Mountain Rescue Called Out

On Saturday 21st January at 18:09 the teams exercise was disrupted as the team were called to search Bleaklow for a male and female with a dog who had become benighted. The team requested assistance from Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team, 3 Search & Rescue Dogs and a police helicopter. The helicopter quickly located the couple in the Westend area of the Derwent and passed their location to the team. The missing couple were located and the female had suffered ligament damage to her knee and foot. She was evacuated to a waiting ambulance. All team members were off the hill by 3am.
