Friends of Old Glossop School want your help

The Derby Diocesan Board of Education have submitted a planning application to High Peak for the conversion of the former Duke of Norfolk school building to four flats. Friends of Old Glossop School are seeking to oppose this application in order to try to retain the building as an important part of local heritage and to find ways in which it can continue be used and enjoyed by present and future generations. As the Government is keen to point out heritage assets are a non-renewable resource. Once it is sold for housing a unique opportunity to preserve it will be lost.

FROGS are delighted that the Duke of Norfolk has agreed to be Honorary president of their group thus keeping an important historical continuity.

FROGS’ are asking you to support their initiative and are asking that you sign up on their on-line petition. The are about a third of the way towards their target 500 signatures. e links for the  petition, website and Facebook group are as follows:-
