Stone Sole River hail from around Manchester's suburbs - Bury, Glossop, Rochdale. The band write and perform prolific Prog (Progressive) Rock. They write the majority of their set, but are never afraid to dip into the archive of Hendrix, Floyd and Zeppelin. SSR plan a complete live recording, hopefully at the Globe in Glossop (home to The Lift Globe Music Club), in autumn 2002. The Globe has just been taken over by Ron and Diana who have some fantastic ideas about turning the place into a complete arts centre with jazz, folk, rock, poetry, comedy, world music etc. |
