GLOSSOP & DISTRICT CHORAL SOCIETY
Glossop and District Choral Society

We are a friendly group of music lovers who come together once a week to rehearse choral music. We sing old favourites and more contemporary music, including brand new compositions by our conductor!

We welcome new members and the good news is – no auditions!

Whether you are an experienced singer or have always promised yourself that you would give choral singing a try one day, you will be made very welcome. We believe everyone who wants to sing should have the opportunity to do so.

Recent productions:

Hollywood to Broadway
The Creation - Haydn
The Armed Man - Karl Jenkins
Mikado and HMS Pinafore - Gilbert and Sullivan
Carmina Burana - Carl Orff
Dream of Gerontius and Caractacus - Elgar
Carmen - Bizet
The Other Shore – Chris O'Hara

What our members think:

"I enjoy choir for the friendship, the singing and learning new music."

"Music is everyone's gift and you will find choral music is creative, rewarding and lifts the spirit. Come and join us, make new friends and enjoy yourself!"

"The concerts are amazing. When the whole work comes together with soloists and orchestra I feel blown away!"

Why not come and join us?

We meet from 7.30 till 9.30pm every Monday evening at the Central Methodist Church, Chapel Street, Glossop [SK13 8AT].

We look forward to meeting you.
