The Seniors' Club

This social activities club meets
at Bradbury Community House in Market Street on the first Monday of each month from 1.30 until 4.30pm.

At these meetings, for the first half hour Mady Winterbottom from Extend will be doing chair exercises. These are not compulsory - if you want to come and just have a chat among your friends, that is fine.

At each session we have a raffle and two free games of bingo. There is often a speaker or other entertainment.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served.

From this club various outings and events are organised.

There is a Christmas party to round off the year.

Transport can be arranged if essential.

During the club times we also offer a chiropody service every other month, strictly by appointment only.

Attendance at the Seniors' Club costs £1 per session.

The Luncheon Club meets twice monthly at Dinting Scout Centre.

Lunch costs £4 and transport is available at £1 per journey.

There is usually a raffle at each session and a party at Christmas.
Contact Peter Fish on 01457 762557 or Mady Winterbottom on 01457 765399.

Age Concern holds a Palm Sunday Party each year, with Easter Eggs given by the Cubs and Scouts of the 1st Dinting Scouts Association.

We hold two coffee mornings each year to help raise funds for what we do.

We organise various events throughout the year:
Keep your eye on the local press.

We send out a birthday card and a Christmas card each year to all our clients. We try to recognise significant birthdays, when someone reaches 90 or 100 years old.

Each year we organise the 'Tin Appeal' to provide Christmas parcels for our most elderly clients.

We welcome volunteers to help in the office or with any of our events or activities.

We can offer you the opportunity to gain experience and to meet new people while doing a worthwhile job. No pay, other than out-of-pocket expenses, but lots of satisfaction. There is always plenty to do and you will be sure of a warm welcome.
